I have a jvc mini dv camcorder. I have trouble uploading video content onto my computer. Can someone tell me how to do it using a usb 2.0 cable and windows movie maker/image mixer 2.0. Or can you recomend free software for video editing, or one that is not too expensive?

my jvc miniDV camcorder uses the USB connection for the still photo memory, not tape playback. tape playback goes to the DV or Firewire connection.

I use PowerProducer 3 and Pinnacle's Studio 9. They work fine.
Need firewire cable and card.
