Is downloading this video illegal?

I have been on Google Video and found a certain concert I was going to buy the DVD for in a few months. But somebody put the entire concert from the DVD onto Google Video and Google allows you to download their videos just like YouTube sometimes does. Is downloading this concert illegal becuse it's out on DVD? Or do you think because it isn't really DVD quailty and not the whole DVD deal? (menu, etc.), it is legal? I'm still going to buy the DVD because it offers other features but I'm a little concerned about downloading this video from Google. If you could help me out that would be great thanks!

It depends on certain things. Are they a band that doesn't have the rights to their songs? What label are they on? If they are on a label that is the label controled by the RIAA???

If the band themselves released the concert on google then chances are its not illeagle. If it was not and it was released without the bands knowledge, it can be sort of questionable.

It isn't illegal /because/ it is available on DVD.

It might be protected by copyright law and have been posted to that website without the permission of the copyright holder - in which case it would be illegal to download it.

Of course it isn't really DVD quality....if you want a real one that "original" you have to pay for it...i think it was non illegal...because it have been sold out there so people might copy and upload it and put it at their website? who knows?? i suggest you proceed to buy the DVD...
