ok, want to uprade my parents tower. It is a Dell Dimensions 2400. It is usin interrated video cipset wit a blue output to te monitor. Monitor is CRT not LCD. And it as reular PCI buss cards. Must I disable internal video on te moterboard? In BIOS, its settins are onboard, and Auto. It is on auto, but no disable. So sould I disable windows drivers for onboard video? I put in a card and Dells screen went on, but windows log in went to internal not new card, so can I fix this? THX!

make sure you have seated the graphics card in the pci slot correctly and plug the cable from the monitor into the port that the new graphics card has. you shouldn't need to disable the integrated graphics but also check to see in BIOS that your pci slots are enabled

Use AGP, the brown slot?
It will auto switch to the new card.
Then you will need the card drivers.
AND LEARN TO SPELL.
