I have a video on my computer that is about 300x300. I want to shrink it down to 180x96 so that it fits on my mp3 player. Is there any free programs to shrink its dimensions? The video converter my mp3 player came with increases the size of the video (400mb originally to 2.2GB after the conversion) but shrinks the dimensions to fit the screen of the mp3 player. I want to keep the size of the video small (around 300mb) while shrinking the dimensions. Help?
Thanks.

Free software?! I do not know of any, I have tested to many and found them all to be mostly useless.
I use AVS Media, had to bite the bullet and just buy software, I love it, you can test it for free to see if it will work for you!

Check out VirtualDubMod. Here is a website that explains it very well:

Included with VirtualDubMod are filters that can reduce the size.
A codec that will make the size of the resulting file much smaller is:

try this software called "SUPER"
you can download it here
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
It can convert videos to any format that you want and you can also set the resolution that you want , moreover it's free.
You need to only drag your videos into it and set the format and screen size and it'll convert the video.
one last advice. Before converting right click in the window of super and select " Output File management" ans set the directory where you want the output to be created. Or else you will have to look for the video in C:/Program files/eright Soft/Output directory

What you need to is first soak the video in a bowl of water. Then put the video in a cardboard box for about 10 hours. Next, crush the box. Again wait another 10 hours. Your finished product will be a smaller video.
Maybe you should get something to shrink.
